One-Off Services

As well as the major "project" type services offered, BlueCat can also undertake "one-off" tasks.

This page provides an outline of some of these services. Please should you wish to learn more or want to discuss your specific requirements.

FTP uploads: We can perform uploads of files to your site or webspace via FTP. We will of course, need the FTP address, login and password information the first time you request this. This is for "straight" FTP only (FrontPage or other "special" methods are NOT supported).

Audio services: For example:

• conversion between different audio file types (wav-mp3 etc)
• compression of mp3 files
• limited editing (creating extracts of tracks for example)

Image services: For example:

• batch compression of digital images to make them ready for the Web
• cropping/retouching/editing of digital images
• create a VCD or CD Photo-Album from your images, with a menu

Search Engine Optimisation: For example:

• submission of your site to the major Search Engines
• produce a "Search Engine Ranking" report for your site
• as above, but for your competitor's sites
• Keyword reviews/keyword density reports
• Site analysis

Web Graphics: BlueCat is NOT a Graphic Design house, but we can produce graphical elements for your Site, such as Banners, Buttons, slideshows, basic animations and Flash.

FormMail: If your Hosting company provides a "FormMail" facility, we can assist with creation of Enquiry & "Contact Us" forms for use on your site.

File conversions: For example, word->PDF, Powerpoint->SWF (limited) and others.

Data Encryption: Password protected, 128-bit encryption of your sensitive data. Provide unencrypted data on CD or other media and we return original and an encrypted copy.

Data Recovery: Accidentally deleted files, formatted a hard disk, had files maliciously deleted or damaged removeable media such as a CD? BlueCat may be able to assist in recovering your valuable data. (Windows only, prices vary considerably and will be subject to a non-refundable deposit due to the intensive nature of data recovery work. No 100% guarantees can be given as every circumstance is different and some data may not be recoverable).

Preparing Web content: We can assist in writing or editing and preparing your content for use on the web. If you already have literature in the form of Word or PDF documents, we can get it ready for the Web - or maybe you need someone to review and optimise your content for the Web.
